FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE ODDS ARE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR AS CENTRAL FLORIDA LAUNCHES ALL-NEW HUNGER GAMES DINNER SHOW

Immerse yourself in the world of the Hunger Games trilogy in an exciting new story line, spectacular sets, thrilling music, and a cornucopia of  surprises.

ORLANDO, FL (May 24, 2012) – Fans of the Hunger Games will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Panem in the Hunger Games Dinner Adventure, in an all-new nighttime theatrical experience, soon to be known as the “World’s Most Action Packed Dinner Show.”

Guests begin their adventure with a visit to  District 12, where they will witness the Reaping of the tributes for the Hunger Games. During the Reaping, guests will be able to sample classic District 12 hors-devours, including their famous baked goods including Mellark’s Bakery Goat Cheese and Apple Tarts. Previous winners of the Hunger Games will be available for photographs.

The Peacekeepers will lead the guests into the Hunger Games theater, an elaborate arena hosted by the Capitol, celebrating the spectacle of the games. The guests will be seated in Districts where they will enjoy a special menu put together by Effie Trinket, featuring the finest foods from around Panem, including Katniss’ favorite Lamb Stew with Dried Plums, salads, and a scrumptious dessert. Complimentary beer, wine, coffee or soft drinks are included during dinner, and vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Guests will be introduced to their tributes in interviews with Caesar Flickerman himself, who will continue to narrate the Games, beginning with the spectacle of the chariot rides as the tributes enter the training center. Throughout dinner, guests dazzled, thrilled, and entertained with spectacularly choreographed swordplay, aerial artistry, dynamic duals and special effects as the heroes of Panem battle in the arena. Guests can watch the action in the arena before them or via one of the most technologically advanced centerhung video displays from Daktronics.

Guests will be able to interact with the tributes and control the outcome of the Games by using their smartphones and other devices, voting for their favorite heroes and choosing sponsorship gifts to send into the arena to help their heroes. Over 150 guests each night will find themselves in the middle of the show as they don costumes of the finest Capitol fashions and join the action. The show ends with a spectacular, pyrotechnics-filled, audience-involving final scene with a surprise ending guaranteed to raise the roof.

The celebration of the Games victor continues in the post-show area, where guests can mingle with the heroes of the Games. And after the last performance of the evening, guests can party in the Capitol Club, included with each paid admission.  The high-energy DJ disco party features a state-of-the-art sound and special effects system and dancing to a wide variety of music.

Guests who visit the Hunger Games Dinner Adventure earlier in the day will be able to tour the arena, and the museum where they will be able to see props and costumes from the Hunger Games film and interact with animatronic muttations, sing with musical mockingjays, and visit the Control Room for the Games. The one hour tours are free and begin at 4pm and 5:30pm, but space is limited and reservations are recommended.

  4. This is a great idea! Who puts on this event? I’d like to attend w/ a big group and would like to get more information. The links lead to the World Food Programme website but do not give any information on the event itself. Thanks!

    • Someone forwarded this to me back in May. The Orlando Sentinel says that the building is going to be torn down for a mall, though. So who knows if it will ever happen. Maybe they will find somewhere else?

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
