Dream

Last night I dreamed that I was on a boat with people, and was forced to go into a little little boat. A little Boston Whaler type boat, riding really low in the water. I remember people getting thrown out of the boat. I was afraid I was going to get thrown out. But i was somewhat comforted because Boston Whalers can’t sink. But only somewhat.

I know what it means, pretty clearly. Y’all can take a crack if you want.

So dream analysis:

Boat
To dream that you are in or see a boat, signifies you ability to cope and express your emotions. Pay particular attention to the condition and state of the waters, whether is is calm or violent, clear or murky, etc. Are you “smooth sailing”? Alternatively, you may be ready to confront your unconscious and unknown aspects of yourself.
To dream that you are trying to jump off a boat, suggests that you want to dive directly in and confront those difficult emotions and approach your problems head on.

  1. Dude, one of my friends at work told me of one of her dreams: “[Another coworker of ours] was in my dream last night. I was grocery shopping and saw her approaching me with her cart. I went to say Hi and that’s when I realized that she was a life size Cabbage Patch doll. A walking, talking Cabbage Patch doll. Then I saw that everyone in the store was a Cabbage Patch doll.”
    Explain me that one.

    • I think it’s a desire to embrace friendships of childhood with fun and no responsibility, and not be a grown up. I think grocery shopping is definitely a grown up act, so that’s the conflict between fun with friends and responsibilities of grown up life.
      Doll
To dream that a doll comes to life, signifies your desires to be someone else and escape from your present problems and responsibilities. Dolls may serve as a means to act out your wishes.
To see a doll in your dream, symbolizes childhood innocence and light-hearted fun.
To dream that you are playing with a doll, represents a lack of communication between you conscious and unconscious mind. You may also have an immature attitude towards the opposite sex.

    • Here is my take: You feel you are surrrounded by phonies. You are debating about someone being dishonest with you or cheating you. You’re trying to figure out who.
What is your personal feeling about the cabbage patch dolls? Do you think they are ugly (I do)? If yes, then you feel the secrecy is negative. If no, then maybe you are just tired of being the last to know.
Dolls represent the lack of communication between the conscious and unconscious levels of the mind. You may feel unaccepted by others, that you aren’t being taken seriously, or it may be that you feel your relationships are lacking intimacy or intensity.
Because you made an inanimate object real in your dreams it could be that you are the one holding back on intimacy. This could be emotional or physical intimacy. Since you are in a grocery store (I assume in the daytime) it represents your daylight hours…. most likely work (especially since a coworker was one of the dolls in your dream) and not the Mr.
Possibly you are afraid to trust anyone at work.
      *loves you

  2. The boat is your now (your present), perhaps you feel confined or held back or maybe you are just being conscious to important chaneg around you.
The water represents time since it is a body of motion. Those being thrown are ones that rush ahead without paying attention to readiness, thus being completely unprepared. You remained in the boat. You have been cautious yet may fear your caefulness will hold you back.
You’re right about the temperament of the water. If it was rough waters it means you are aware of fast paced changes (possibly positive ones for those that are ready) if the water was calm you are simply riding along until the right time.
The water’s mood can also be a refelction of your own mood since it is a reflective body.
The boat could be your home (maybe you ae thinking of remodeling, expanding, selling and moving up to a larger size) or it could be your job (has your title or your duties changed lately?)
I wonder? How was it that people were “thrown out”? Was someone throwing them out or was it the water? If it was the water the ones thrown out are not prepared for what comes, if it was someone throwing them out, they were over confident about themselves and thus will not succeed as well.
I love dreams. I’ve always thought of them as commercials from God….giving us a tidbit of information to prepare us for life.

    • People were being thrown out by an unknown someone. Ship’s generic captain.
It’s more about relationships and emotions, though job plays into it. Not about home life.

  3. Dude, what’s up with so many people having weird dreams this month?!?!
